Remember when we were all going to be wealthy designers.
Who made the world a beautiful experience
We were going to live in Future London
With millions of flashing lights and electronic music
That made us smarter by listening to it.
We were going to smoke fashionable cigarettes and
Get drunk on fluorescent drinks that would
Make us healthy.
But that didn't happen. The Twin Towers came down
And every one got laid off.
No one went to live in Future London.
Everyone moved to Brooklyn and embraced
The aesthetic of crumbling concrete
And dirty asbestos shingles.
We did somethings wrong. But we didn't screw up.
Right?
